Map of a move out of AWS: the application servers (EC2) and the database (RDS) move from the eu-central-1 region to a Hetzner rack, the files (S3) to an OVH storage shelf.AWSeu-central-1EC2RDSS3Hetznerfsn1OVHwaw1EC2RDSS3

AWS bill, exampleUSD 2,600 / month

Hetzner or OVHUSD 510–790 / month

Estimate from my calculator: large web application, net prices as of .

What companies bring to me

A “from” price is the cheapest package or the smallest scope; audit and maintenance packages have fixed prices. All prices are net; the full scope is on the pricing page.

Net prices in euro, for businesses only. VAT: 23% for businesses in Poland; reverse charge for VAT-registered businesses elsewhere in the EU; no Polish VAT outside the EU.

Who does the work

You pay me by the hour or a fixed price, not for how much cloud you use.

CODELEVEL is me. I have spent six years as a DevOps engineer and production systems administrator, and since 2023 I have designed and run SaaS platforms on AWS. You talk to me, I do the audit, and I am the one reading the alerts from your infrastructure.

  • I do not earn from your cloud usage: you pay me a fixed price or by the hour, and I take no commission from AWS, Hetzner or OVH. I have no reseller deals with them either.
  • Infrastructure code goes into your repository from day one. The accounts and passwords are yours.
  • If AWS is the better choice for you, I will show you with the numbers.

What I have done lately

B2B SaaS, since 2023

Two SaaS platforms on AWS, built from scratch

AWS infrastructure from an empty account for a B2B SaaS platform, and since 2026 a second, smaller platform built the same way. On the first, deploys take 5–6 minutes instead of 45, the bill is 30% lower than on the original infrastructure on ready-made AWS services such as Amplify, and availability over a year is 99.99%.

How we’d work together

The bar length is time, and each stage has its price. After the audit you can stop at the report and implement the changes with your own team.

  1. Call

    Week 1.

An e-mail or a short call. You show me the bill or the architecture.

    free

  2. Architecture and cost review

    Weeks 1–2: audits S and M take 5 to 10 working days, audit L 2–3 weeks.

What to change in the architecture, deploys and costs, with the effort and the saving where there is one. Read-only access is enough.

    from EUR 690

  3. Implementation

From week 3, length depends on scope.

The changes from the report, or a new environment next to the old one, in Terraform, with a rollback plan. A move to Hetzner or OVH is priced in the exit plan, from EUR 1,850.

EUR 60 per hourfor changes in AWS

  4. Maintenance

    Monthly after that.

Updates, backups with restore tests, alerts and a monthly report.

from EUR 190 per monthno annual lock-in

Who I am not a good fit for

Better to say it here than in the third e-mail.

Questions before the first call

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. I will sign your NDA before the first call, or send you mine. I do not describe your company in a case study without your consent. If you agree, the description is anonymous: no name, no logo and no details that could identify you. If I will have access to personal data (for example in your databases or logs), I also sign a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR, yours or mine.

What access do you need?

For an audit, read-only access with an IAM policy that cannot read your data (it is on the audit page), or a Cost Explorer export, is enough. I get write access only for implementation, on a separate account with MFA, and only while the work lasts.

No access at all: send me your AWS bill, and within 2 business days I reply with 3 observations

What if you fall ill or disappear?

I am one person, so while I am on holiday or ill, the work waits or your team takes it over. I announce holidays at least 30 days ahead, and during a holiday or illness the response times of the maintenance plan do not apply. All infrastructure is described as code in your repository, with runbooks for incidents. The accounts and passwords are yours, so any competent engineer can take over without me.

Comparison: me, a large consultancy or a full-time DevOps hire

How long does an audit take and what do I get?

From 5 working days for a single account to 2–3 weeks for more than three accounts, counted from receiving read-only access. You get a report with a list of changes and a saving figure next to each, plus an hour-long walkthrough of the results.

What if you find no savings?

If the yearly savings identified in the report add up to less than the audit fee, I refund everything you paid. This applies to AWS bills from USD 800 net a month, and you do not have to implement anything. Full terms are on the pricing page.

Do you implement too, or only advise?

Both. Most of my work is building: a new setup in Terraform next to the old one, deploys, monitoring. After an audit I can also make the changes myself and then look after the infrastructure on a monthly plan. You can also take just the report and implement it with your own team.

Who is liable if a production change breaks something?

I make changes in code, with a rollback plan and in a window we agree on. Liability and its limit are set in the contract for the specific service. I will fill in your vendor security questionnaire before we start.

What if something breaks at night?

Monitoring alerts arrive at any hour, and I respond during business hours, in the same time zone as Berlin (CET/CEST). I take critical incidents in the evening too, until 22:00: included in the Business and Growth plans, otherwise at the emergency rate of EUR 110 per hour. I do not run a night on-call, so a report from the night is picked up in the morning. Response times are on the pricing page.

Do you work with companies outside Poland? How is VAT handled?

Yes. I work remotely with companies in Poland and worldwide, in English or Polish, and with businesses only. Prices are net, in euro, and the invoice is in EUR, in the amount fixed in the offer. A business in Poland pays 23% VAT. A business in another EU country with an active VAT number in VIES gets an invoice without Polish VAT, marked “reverse charge”. A business outside the EU gets an invoice without Polish VAT, because the service is taxed in its own country. Monthly contracts have one month’s notice.

Where do we start?

Tell me in two sentences what you want to change or what is not working. No need to book a call, an e-mail is enough. I reply within one business day, in the same time zone as Berlin (CET/CEST). When I am on holiday, an automatic reply says so.

How can I help?
Monthly cost of hosting, servers or cloud
When do you want to start?

For businesses only. I do not contract with consumers.
